School Threat on LI

Massapequa (WALK) - One them reportedly claims it was just a joke, but two teens accused of making a threat against a local high school are still facing felony charges.

Richard Delpesce of Seaford and Corinne Terris of Massapequa are accused of posting comments on Facebook about bringing guns to Massapequa High School. Delpesce, 17, and Terris, 19, are both former students at the school.

Terris reportedly told police after her arrest that her comments about weapons and marijuana, made in response to Delpesce's, were a joke. She is a graduate of the school while Delpesce reportedly claims he was kicked out.

Detectives found out about the comments from a parent who contacted a school dean. In a statement, Nassau police say they don't believe students were ever in any danger.

Delpesce and Terris both pleaded not guilty yesterday and were released on their own recognizance. Both were charged with making a terroristic threat. Terris was also charged with criminal solicitation.
